what does it mean?

Since childhood, I have been fascinated by this great continent we call “the cradle of humanity”: Africa. I dream of the day when I will set foot there. What a coincidence to have found the man of my life who is from Togo! I am proud to say that the name of my company is linked to my love for this continent!

Adabé means “to know” in Fulani, a dialect of a nomadic people group in West Africa.

To know where to go, to know what to do, to know how, to know why…

I always wanted to know EVERYTHING, and as Blaise Pascal once put it: “It is much better to know a little about everything than everything about very little.”

From financial services to management and technology

2016. I am a Regional Sales Coordinator for a large financial services company. After I was nominated Eastern Canada’s Rookie of the Year a few months after my arrival, I quickly moved up the ranks. But even though I was only 26 years old, I soon found myself trapped in a golden cage.

Then one day, I attended a conference given by the company’s CEO. One thing she said changed my entire career path:

“If I had to do it all over again, I would study technology because that’s where the future is.”

That’s all it took for me to go back to school and enroll in a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Business Technology.

Adabé's beginnings

Over the course of my studies, I worked for several start-ups and NPOs. Customer service, process implementation, tutorial and training creation, business development…I had a great time contributing to the economic growth of my community.

The idea of going back to work for a company did not excite me as much as it did before. Rather, I wanted to use my knowledge and experience to help other entrepreneurs, SMEs, and organizations in my area.

Spring of 2020. I graduated right when the pandemic hit. I quickly realized that many organizations needed to make a technological shift if they wanted to survive.

It was then that I developed Adabé’s mission: to help entrepreneurs, SMEs, and NPOs optimize their tasks and their processes with systems that enable cohesive operations.
